This book was fantastic. I knocked it down two points for a couple of reasons. Mainly is that the author relies a bit much on sex-based crimes to motivate the characters. You are almost genuinely shocked when it doesn’t happen to the third viewpoint character (although it would have if it weren’t for other circumstances). I really don’t mind using something like that as a motivation, but sex crimes nearly overshadow the entire first half of the book. It is still a fantastic read, and this is really a fairly minor criticism.
Second is mostly on the editor. I read the Kindle edition of this novel, and there were typos and capitalization errors throughout the book. The editor should be embarassed by the poor quality of this.
I will be reading a few more Wheel of Time books before I eagerly return for book two of this series.
